This necklace is FASCINATING. It’s a genuine Victorian Necklace with a double bronzed chain. This piece is likely over 150 years old, dating from the 1800s. It’s extraordinary. Marcasite studs the frame of the piece, and yes, a few stones appear to be missing. The etched glass appears to feature a Goddess holding a small human being? I think it is Athena holding Nike? The medallion is rather large. The frame of the etching is exquisite & ornate. It’s so unique, that the few missing marcasite don’t detract from the piece at all in my humble view. It has normal burnish for it’s age. The chains alone are extraordinary-and are a paperclip style, typical of the Era. Please study the photos and feel free to ask questions. This is an extremely rare find! This truly is a piece of history. Found at the estate sale of a member of a prominent family.
**I am trying to determine what this piece is worth, which is why it is priced so high for the moment.**
